The South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team has released its 2026-27 Southeastern Conference (SEC) schedule, which includes eight home games against top-25 finishers from the previous season. The five-time reigning SEC Champion Gamecocks will host Alabama, Kentucky, LSU, and Oklahoma, all of which finished in the top 25 last season, at Colonial Life Arena. Additionally, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M will also play in Columbia. On the road, the Gamecocks will travel to Oklahoma, as well as three other top-25 finishers, Ole Miss, Texas, and Vanderbilt. They will also visit 2026 NCAA Tournament participants Georgia and Tennessee. Mississippi State and Missouri round out the Gamecocks' road SEC slate for 2026-27. Head coach Dawn Staley has led the team to 10 SEC regular-season titles over the last 13 seasons, including each of the last five. She has a 229-56 record in SEC play with just three losses over the last five seasons, and her .800 league winning percentage is second only to Tennessee's Pat Summitt (.874) in league history among coaches with more than five seasons in the league. Her 229 conference wins are the most among active league coaches and third all-time, trailing just Women's Basketball Hall of Fame inductees Andy Landers (Georgia, 273) and Summitt (Tennessee, 306). The 2026-27 SEC season will begin on December 31 and conclude with the SEC Tournament held at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. from March 3-7. Dates, times, and television information will be announced at a later date.
