The South Carolina Gamecocks announced kickoff times for their first three football games of 2026.

The Gamecocks will open the season against Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 12:45 p.m. on the SEC Network.

They defeated Kent State 77-14 in their only previous meeting in 1995.

Who are the opponents?

The Gamecocks will then host Towson Tigers on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m., streaming on the SECN+ digital platform.

Towson finished the 2025 season with a 6-6 record in the FCS Coastal Athletic Association.

The Gamecocks' SEC opener is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on the SEC Network.

What is the series history?

The Gamecocks have won eight of the last nine games against Mississippi State and hold a 10-7 advantage in the all-time series.

They defeated the Bulldogs 37-30 in Columbia in their last meeting in 2023.
